The last few weeks of April have been spent shaping and base pruning young new Christmas trees.

The photos are the same tree before and after this process. Base pruning puts the ‘handle’ on the tree so it can be cut more easily and go in your tree stand, but importantly it allows better air flow around the tree, helping reduce bugs and diseases.
