News from Ladydowns Christmas Trees

Every year the British Christmas Tree Growers Association holds a competition to find the best Christmas tree grown in the UK.

There are different categories for each species of tree. The winner of the overall champion tree then supplies the Christmas tree that stands outside 10 Downing Street.

The competition is fierce and we are entering this Koreana in the category, Other Fir.

Our Koreana won in the category “Other Fir”. To top that we were also awarded runner up, Champion Grower 2018.

This means we will supply the Christmas tree for the Pillard Room at 10 Downing Street. A tree grown in Gulval will be taking pride of place in the Prime Minister’s largest state drawing room this Christmas.
