We’re back and open for 2025; Ladydowns Christmas Trees
Ladydowns Christmas Trees is now open at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, offering home-grown, sustainable Christmas trees just outside Penzance. As a small family-run business based near Penzance, Ladydowns grows and sells high-quality real Christmas trees primarily for West Penwith and West Cornwall customers.
At Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, visitors can browse a selection of about five different tree varieties — from freshly cut firs to potted “plant-out-later” trees — giving families a great choice of sizes and types to suit their homes.
Every tree is hand-planted, nurtured and maintained with care throughout its lifecycle, ensuring excellent quality.
What sets Ladydowns apart is its commitment to sustainability. Their trees are grown on land often unsuitable for other crops, supporting local wildlife, absorbing carbon dioxide, stabilising soil and protecting water supplies as they grow.
After one tree is harvested, a new sapling is planted — ensuring the land remains in productive, environmentally responsible use.
Because all trees travel only around two miles from being cut in Gulval to their display site at Tremenheere, their carbon footprint is minimal compared with imported alternatives.
Shopping at Ladydowns supports a local Cornish business while giving you a real tree that not only enhances your festive home but also helps the environment. Buying a British-grown tree from a small family farm like Ladydowns reduces “tree miles”, supports rural jobs, and encourages biodiversity — making your Christmas celebration a greener one.
This festive season, consider visiting Ladydowns Christmas Trees at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens — and take home a beautiful, sustainable piece of Cornwall to brighten your home.
